Our Impacts
From the very beginning, the Phoebe Dawson Foundation has been about more than fundraising. It’s about creating moments of connection, remembrance, and meaningful support - for both the communities we give to, and the one we’ve built around Phoebe.
Every event, every donation, and every person involved contributes to something bigger than a single outcome.

Superhero Teddy Program - Bear Cottage
Early 2026, our community raised over $13,000 - a reflection of the generosity, kindness, and community spirit that continues to honour Phoebe’s memory.
We are proud to once again support Bear Cottage. These funds will help contribute to their deeply meaningful Superhero Teddy Program.
When a child and their family arrive for the first time at Bear Cottage, they are welcomed with a beautiful Superhero Teddy and a handwritten note.
These teddies often become a source of comfort, a familiar companion, and for many families, a treasured keepsake that carries deep meaning long after their time at Bear Cottage.
For bereaved families especially, the Superhero Teddy becomes a lasting symbol - a connection to their child and to a community who understands their journey.
“Our Louis Bear has become the symbol and representative of our late son. He’s a special reminder of him and is included in every special family photo shoot, at special events related to his interests and on family holidays.
We treat him as the son we wish we still had.
Receiving the Louis Bear was a lovely gesture and gift but at the time we didn’t realise just how special it would become to us – but we certainly know now. I can’t imagine not having him to hold onto in our son’s place. Thank you, Bear Cottage.”
- James and Amy – Louis’ parents
From the bottom of our hearts - thank you for making a difference.
A new automatic awning system at Bear Cottage
We contributed to the installation of a mechanised awning over the outdoor deck at Bear Cottage, helping create a space of comfort, shade, and calm for children and their families.
Bear Cottage provides respite and end-of-life care for children with life-limiting conditions - a place where families can spend precious time together in a supportive and compassionate environment.
"We spent so much time in the outdoor areas with Sol - we wanted him to experience nature as much as possible. The craving for fresh air and places to really breathe is constant. This is going to be an amazing upgrade for the families and staff"
- Nina, parent from Bear Cottage
This addition allows those moments to extend outdoors, offering a gentle, peaceful setting for connection, reflection, and care

Memorial park bench - Manly
Little Manly holds a special place in our hearts -
it’s where Phoebe and Tim were married, surrounded by their loved ones.
Through past donations, a memorial park bench has been installed, offering a beautiful place to sit, reflect, and look out across the harbour.
It’s become a space for connection and quiet moments alike - whether it’s friends and family gathering, members of the community coming together, or individuals simply taking a moment of peace.

A community table and seating - Orange
Thanks to the generosity of Phoebe’s memorial fund, contributions were also made to a place deeply meaningful to her family - where her parents now live, where Tim proposed, and where Phoebe’s ashes were laid to rest.
In Cook Park, a space known for its traditional Victorian design, tree-lined paths, and beautiful gardens, a table and seating area has been installed - a place that reflects both the beauty of the surroundings and the light Phoebe brought to those around her.
Installed just ten months after her passing, Phoebe’s family gathered there on Christmas Day to share a special toast - a moment to honour her, remember her, and celebrate the love that continues to surround her.
