About Us
This is more than a foundation, it’s a way for us to continue her impact
The Phoebe Dawson Foundation is a non for profit, family-run foundation, created to honour Phoebe’s life, her values, and the way she showed up for others.
Founded by Phoebe’s husband and guided by a committee made up of the Dawson and Barnet families, along with one of Phoebe’s closest friends, this foundation is deeply personal to all of us.
It was built not just in memory of Phoebe, but in continuation of everything she stood for - care, connection, and showing up when it matters most.
Our Story
The Phoebe Dawson Foundation was established in memory of a wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Phoebe Kate Barnet Dawson, died tragically in a car accident on 19th February 2024 at the age of 31.
Phoebe was our "sunshine girl" with a unique knack for brightening lives and putting a smile on faces. She would want us all to celebrate life and make the world a better place.
Phoebe's husband, Tim, said his wife "lived for her family, friends and community above all else". The Phoebe Dawson Foundation is committed to bringing her love, care, compassion, spirit and adventure to our work by connecting with and giving back to the community.
Through community events and gala nights we want to empower communities to connect and come together to make positive impacts in our lives and the lives of others.
The Foundation exists to support a small number of carefully chosen charities that align closely with Phoebe’s values - particularly those helping children and families navigating difficult times, and those improving access to care in rural and remote communities.
We are built on more than what can be seen or measured.
At our core, this foundation is about connection - in the way people come together, in the friendships strengthened and the new ones formed.
It lives in the quiet support between those navigating grief, loss, and life’s harder moments.
This is a space where Phoebe’s memory can be honoured not just individually, but collectively - carrying her spirit forward in a way that feels active, connected, and full of purpose.
A legacy that continues to grow.
What began as a way to navigate loss has become something that brings light, connection, and real impact into the lives of others.
